Plaintiffs brought the lawsuit against the largest peanut shellers in the country, accusing them of conspiring to underpay farmers for runner peanuts, the primary type of peanuts grown. U.S. District Court Judge Raymond Jackson praised the firm's 'effective and efficient prosecution' of the matter, noting it led to 'an excellent result for the Class,' without the benefit of a government investigation.
