Kara S. Smith is an Associate at JJLM, where she represents plaintiffs in antitrust and consumer protection litigation across a wide range of industries. She brings extensive experience in complex high-stakes litigation across a variety of sectors and practice settings and has participated in trying cases to a verdict on multiple occasions. Prior to joining JJLM, Ms. Smith practiced at a major international law firm, working across their complex commercial litigation, white collar, and antitrust practice groups, where she litigated complex, multi-billion-dollar disputes.
During her time at NYU Law, Ms. Smith worked as an articles editor on the NYU Law Review and was part of student organizations focused on protecting consumers. She also represented low-income tenants in housing disputes and assisted in research on the intersection of law and technology. Before law school, she worked in biomedical ethics and spent time at the Environmental Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
